Back to Circo Massimo nothing to see I was very interested to see the great Circus Maximus and I was very dissapointed to see nothing at all... It's just a great patch of grass, now used as a park. So if you're not there just out of historical interest, or if you have a great imagination (enough to visualize the whole thing that is now missing), then don't waste your time...

Save your energy and don't come near it. I've never seen so much broken glass from bottles spread over such a big field.

Of course there is so little remaining of the 'original' circus, but that didn't matter to me. Now it is like a large park, an open green space where people can walk and jog and relax.
