One of Málaga province's most attractive towns stands on both sides of a spectacular 100m-deep gorge called the Tajo. The old town is on one side and the new town on the other and the gorge is spanned by three bridges dating from different historical periods: Roman, Moorish and 18th century. Most of the interesting buildings are in the old town and you can visit the fabulous palaces of the Marqués de Salvatierra, the Moorish king (Rey Moro) and the Marqués de Mondragón as well as Santa María la Mayor church and the famous bullring.
