Started at this Seattle branch in 1969, this chain has become synonymous with the American hamburger. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful, even a bit festive and it's filled with people of all ages. The burgers (cheese, bacon, mushroom, teriyaki, barbeque, blue cheese and others) are big and juicy and grilled to perfection. Huge salads, big plates of pasta and a variety of sandwiches flood the menu. Desserts, including the huge Mud Pie, are as mouthwatering as the innovative concoctions from behind the bar. There is a separate children's menu.
