Reviewed by: Ian from on Dec 18 2007 We WILL go back and reccomend to all! The facility is clean, modern and the view is BREATHTAKING! It is as I recall a Government-owned tourist facility and the price was great value for the setting. The people were very accommodating -we did not have reservations but got a two story suite - there were two couples in our party. The location was very convenient as well to shopping, sightseeing, etc. and the restaurant was great too. Ever had olive oil ice cream?
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 23 2007 I dream of going back! had the great pleasure of staying there for a couple of days with my niece who was two years old at the time. The sataff was warm and loving with her, warmed her milk the way she liked it and told her fairy tales. The parador was the best one yet and I have stayed at many. Not to mention the gastronomic feast and the wine selection. I want to return as soon as feasible and spend at least one week. The city itself is wonderful.
Reviewed by: Dinah L from on May 16 2006 Views unlike anything else Situated on the end of a gorge by the bridge linking oldtown to new town this parador (government run historic hotel) is simply amazing. Our corner room had two wrap around balconies over looking the edge of the gorge on two sides. 1500 foot drop off with rushing rivers below. What a wonderful job the government does with these Paradors, they are all top notch. The lobby and resturant offer splendid views of the town and gorge. The staff is accomidating and the breakfast daily is a treat. I ordered the Tortilla Espanlo from the bar nightly, egg omlete with sliced potatoes, so good! Enjoy these views, there might not be anywhere else in the world like it.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 10 2004 BEAUTIFUL hotel This is an amazing hotel. I HIGHLY recommend staying here! It is overlooking the gorge and is truly spectacular. Ronda is a great place to visit while travelling southern Spain and this hotel is a must-stay. Prices are very reasonable, as well.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 09 2004 This is THE place to stay in Ronda The Ronda city hall was converted to this 4-star parador. It retains amazing historical atmosphere with all the modern comforts. It is situated on the top of the river gorge and offers amazing views of the valley below. From our room, we watched the sunset against the hills of olive tree groves. (I highly recommend getting a room facing the hills). A short, scenic walk across the bridge will bring you into the charming town old-town Ronda and next door is the Ronda Bull Ring (where bullfighting originated).
