Shanghai is really a wonderful place
I like its beautiful environment, delicious food, Cheap goods. Chinese treat foreigners well. Foreigners can earn the most high salary in China. you could look at this news:Top 10 Cities Paying Highest Salary to Foreign Managers in China http://forum.globaltimes.cn/forum/showthread.php?t=7993&highlight=shanghai , Beijing and Shenzhen rank 2nd and 3rd. Maybe you should plan to Shanghai and hunt for a job there.

Shopping to drop
We told our Yoyoor representative what we're looking for: where we can see a lot of architecture that have distinctive 30th Shanghai style and where we can also have some nice food and shopping as we have some last minute shopping to do. That definitely should be Nanjing Road, she told us. Nanjing Road is everything she told us it is, hustling and bustling, great architecture and the perfect place to feel the pulse of morden Shanghai.

Oh, look, you'll only get killed by a scooter!
The Nan Jing Lu Pedestrian mall is just another place where people will harrass you on the street "You buy a watch, bag?" and the stores are all designed to pull as much money from tourists (both Chinese and foreign) as possible. It at least looks cooler at night...

Feel the crowd at Nanjing
People were all busy at Nanjing Road with many strolling along the busy street looking for bargain sales. See the different architectural styles from old China to modern influences in the buildings. Enjoy Chinese cuisines or the fastfoods of multinational corporations like KFC and Wendy's. There are a lot to enjoy in Nanjing.

A really hustle and bustle commercial road
Well, I must tell this was the last place I spent all my money and I didn't regret a thing! If there's ever somewhere in China where shop-keepers (even in the smallest ones) speak English (maybe a bit broken but they got what u mean) and don't make you feel awful, this is here in the Nanjing Road of Shanghai. I actually bought a robe of RMB20 and another in silk at RMB400 but in both case I didn't have to "argue" with the staff as it was in Beijing!

Don't go here at night
We were two women traveling to China for buisness. We were told by our consierge to go here for shopping. We were approached continually by beggars and people wantingto sell you things. The cabs only stopped for men and we were uncomfortable here

Lots of shops for every ones liking. Lots of bargaining is necessary. Lots of places to eat and drink. Nice busy place. Do not forget to visit this area at night if you can to see the neon lights which are out of this world. Very colourful and imagimnative.
