Back to Gran Teatro de La Habana, García Lorca CENTRO GALLEGO,HAVANA This magnificent palace looks like anything in Europe yet it has its own particularity for all the elements;marble,stained glass,stone balconies,etc.,are essentially what Havana´s architecture is !!! It is a stunning building and it is wrapped around the interior of the 1835 Teatro de Tacón.
Reviewed by: eric from on Jan 01 2008 Theatre layout exceptional venue for ballet and opera performances, old world horseshoe layout, meaning you must try to get tickets in the center or slight off-center sections of the auditorium, the sides, particularly second balcony and nosebleed, are livable if you are in the first row and able to crane your neck, you will miss something, but not much, do not bother with the second row unless it is a must that you gain access for a particular performance and willing to watch standing.
