Back to Tandoor Indian Restaurant Dissapointed Sunday Buffet After a recommendation of the Tandoor restaurant by a friend from work, I took my wife there to celebrate our 4 year anniversary with a fine Indian buffet. When we got there I expected a full house and a colorful array of Indian dishes rich with traditional spices stewed into a variety of vegetables and meats.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 14 2008 Awful Place...would not recommend.... This is the most over hyped Indian restaurant that i have visited. Tandoor came highly recommended but everything from food presentation to preparation to quality and quantity was so disappointing...the less said about the service and the hospitality of this place, the better. You get the feeling that you are most unwelcome and they are doing you a favor by serving you so called "Indian" food...If you are desperate to eat some Indian food in Taipei, suggest you hunt for some other place...Tandoor experience really leaves a sour taste in your mouth.........

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 13 2007 Run down and pathetic Dilaphated condition of the restaurant, mediocre neighbourhood (15 mins walk from Westin on Nankin Road where we stayed). Since we had made an effort to search for the place, we orderded the food. Lots of artificial colour - dal makhni was bright red. I was also not satisficed with overall hygiene of the place. Don'r recommend people to go, avoidable place.

The place is not fancy but if you are going for good food, not for fancy restaurant, then it is generally good. I have eaten there with Indian friends, seen big parties of Indians celebrating birthdays, etc. and it seems everyone enjoys. As for prices, well, dining out in Taipei has been expensive for a while now.
