One of the most evocative landmarks in town, this 1885 Romanesque-Revival building designed by Cyrus Eidlitz caps the tree-lined Printer's Row warehouse district. Once the place where many visitors and immigrants first set foot on Chicago soil, Dearborn Station is now mainly a collection of offices. But this restored building, with its red brick exterior and marbled lobby, looks beautiful and new. Admittedly, there isn't much to see on the inside, but the romance that used to hang around rail stations still lingers here.
