I am glad the park is doing well and this review makes it sound so nice. I lived there during the games and it was a hot mess. GA is not used to handling something so grand and it showed. It was awful, I am glad it is better now. Atlanta was just too organized. I worked for a company that handled the games, it was not good at all and some of the other countries were angry at the US for the poor choice of location.

Don't go through when the music is on!
I went there on a missions trip this summer and my whole youth choir and I played in the water show and got in trouble... if you go there make sure the music isn't playing when you go through the water!

Nice Park
I enjoyed the lights in the fountain at night and it was a great place to just relax with a great view of the sky in certain parts..

Great for families!
As another reviewer mentioned, go check out the Olympic part of the museum before going to the park.

Before you go here...
Go to the Atlanta History Center and walk through the Olympic display. It is great, and after you see it you will appreciate the park much more.

Pretty Cool Park
I thought it was a cool park. I like the whole design and how people just hang out there. Families having picnics, people enjoying their dogs and a cool little water exhibit for the kids to run through and play. I like the Olympic torches, but being from Chicago it cant hold a flame to Millennium Park. It is the park of the millenium.

All the reviews said this was a great place to take the family. If your idea of a great time is reading names on bricks, looking a grass, and a small water feature then it is great. I have a big green yard and a water hose that can provide the same entertainment.

An Atlanta Highlight!
The atmosphere of this park, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of downtown Atlanta, shouldn't be missed. It is open and gorgeous, not to mention interesting! We were lucky enough to be visiting in mid-Spring...when it is just getting hot enough to don those bathing suits and splash around in the Fountain of Rings. Vendors in the park are very pricy. It is easily reached from MARTA, and you can walk there from the Aquarium and Underground Atlanta. Highly recommended for a mid-day stop!

It's a park in the middle of the city. Big deal. The fountain was under construction. The only kewl thing was finding my cousin n laws brick that he purchased.

A Beautiful Park
Since 1996 this park has been the best. Everyone must go down there for a walk, picnic or just some fresh air. Have fun!
