A classic fixture in Vancouver's West End, this hotel is a historical landmark; its traditional European-style facade is almost completely obscured by ivy. Constructed in 1912, it was originally one of the tallest apartment buildings in the city. It was later converted to a hotel during the Depression and named after the builder's daughter. The dark wood-detailed interior evokes a European feel. The building's beachside location offers ocean views and access. Sitting across from English Bay, it is a short distance to Stanley Park and world-class shopping.
