Unveiled on Memorial Day 2001, this memorial is perhaps one of the most striking you will ever lay eyes on. It is a 10 x 40 foot installation that hangs from the ceiling of the museum's atrium. What is it exactly? It is a collection of hanging dog tags - more than 58,000 of them. Each one is custom imprinted and represents a casualty of the Vietnam War.
