This attractive museum is located in the yard of Portvale Sugar Factory and displays the history of sugar cultivation and production. Open all year long, a great time to visit is during the sugar cane harvest(between February and June), when you will also be able to view the sugar factory at work. See the transition from machinery that was used 200 years ago to the modern equipment in use today. The museum is under the auspices of the Barbados National Trust.
