Located 25 miles west of Newcastle, Slaley Hall has two championship courses and has hosted a number of prestigious PGA events, including the Great North Open Golf Championship, attracting top golfers from the European tour (including the likes of Langer and Ballasteros). The course is bidding to host the Ryder Cup in 2009. The venue is part of the Slaley Hall Hotel and Spa complex, and is set in beautiful parkland. You will find a practice range, short game practice area, and a practice green, as well as a clubhouse and restaurant. Visitors are welcome on weekdays, but prior booking is essential.
