Waste of Time and Money
We visited Chicago for a week and bought the City Passes. All of the things we visted with the City Pass were great except for this place. I feel asleep during the presentations, have the exhibits were broke, and the other half were for kids. We at at the cafe, which was overpriced and had nothing above an average meal. Only thing this museum has going for it is the view.

Give it a try
There were no long lines and the people that worked here were very nice. Saw the presentation about the night sky and the guy that did it knew a lot and I learned a lot. The rest of the place was really designed for kids. The Cafe was packed and over priced but the food was decent and the views were amazing. For someone that likes to learn, likes the stars, or has kids I would go here.

save your money
The staff seems poorly trained, and half of them are outright incompetent or rude, they bug you fairly often for your tickets, and if you complain the supervisors aren't much help. The staff acts unprofessionally often and some don't seem to care that they're in the public eye. The shows aren't very good and they're made for kids. The exhibits are just terrible and are only hands on for children. Id have to say the only good thing about that museum is the view from the cafe. save your money

not fun
the planetarium is the black sheep of the museum campus. the only good thing about that museum is the view from the cafe and the theater... and half the shows in the theater completely bore you because they're poorly made or aimed for a younger audience. You can walk through the entire museum in about 30-45 minutes, the hands on exhibits are entirely designed for kids and the ones that aren't don't have much to them. Half the staff are nice and the other half aren't helpful and some are just plain rude. So, Id say save your money and go to the field instead.

Don't waste your time there
I didn't like it. The presentation about stars was very boring, I was sleeping on the presentation. The people was very friendly! But it was not fun at all.
