The Galleria d'Arte Moderna Giorgio Morandi was first opened in 1926. In 1975 it moved from its old location in the Villa delle Rose to this very modern building designed by Leone Pancaldi. It is next to the Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi. It contains a permanent exhibition of 20th-century art, which includes more than three thousand works signed by important artists such as Carrà, Guttuso, De Pisis, Schifano, Pollock, Burri, Festa, and Tano, etc. The Gallery often holds temporary contemporary art shows.
