Back to Sears Tower Skydeck Awesome building! We went on July 9 and since we had the City Pass, we did not have to wait at all in those long lines. We went straight up. I highly recommend getting the City Pass so you dont have to wait. Once in the skydeck, we went into the glass deck and it was the most amazing thing! It felt like you were floating on air. The view was incredible! I have always loved the Sears Tower ( i hate that new name and will refuse to call it that till i die). I was born and raised in Chicago and lived closeby the Sears Tower and every day I was amazed at its awesomeness. I moved to Texas and had to take my kids to see what a wonder this building is. I love it!
Reviewed by: LETICIA from on Aug 19 2009 GREATEST PART OF THE WORLD! i came here in chicago last july 1, and ever since i always hear from my aunts the famous sears tower which i find not too exciting at first. then one boring day, just last wednesday i finally got th chance to check it out. we waited for more than an hour in the line, and after watching the very informative short film we hopped in to the elevator which runs 24ft./second. it was unbelievable! and when we reached the top it's oh so amazing and awesome! what's more unforgettable about this is the spot where you're just stepping in a glass floor. i felt scared initially.but then i enjoyed it the most and i was sitting there for about 20mins. this place is breath-taking! i so want to come back here again! :)
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 08 2009 Coolest Place! We went there summer 2008 and had a really fun time there. It was weird to feel the tower sway and see all the wonderful sights. The building was amazing. There were fun things to do like learning and some fun little picture things. We had a great time there.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 19 2009 spectacular view the lines were long, the wait was forever, but once your up there, nothing matters anymore. the elevator was super fast, i got up there in 1 minute or so. i definatley recommend it for the whole family!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 27 2009 Nice view of the city, but not worth the wait.. You will be hearded like cattle and have to watch a 10 min video of the buildings history....thats fine, but can I skip all of the b.s.? No....A 45 minute wait to the top...thats what they said...oops!!!! Try a hour and a half!!! Try the Hancock first!!! Easy to get in and out especially if you go early. We liked it allot more..
Reviewed by: W from on Aug 09 2008 Tall building It's my 1st time in Chicago. I'm impress with the height of Sear Tower. However, after being ride up to 103th floor via super fast elevator, the excitment is over. I'm a bit disappointed with the trip. It is an experience to be on the top of tall building, if you want to try.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 16 2008 view from the top of the world ;) The view was amazing. You can't go to Chicago and not go to the Sears tower skydeck, wether you love it or think its just okay. The view for me was fantastic.. it was a very clear day. I personally thought there was more to do at the observation deck of the John Hancock building (with has a portion that is screened-in so you can feel the outdoor atmosphere and all, called Skywalk), but wouldn't have missed this.
Reviewed by: Shelley from on Jul 07 2008 I was there last week I got my ticket online before coming to the city. I highly recommend that. We didn't have to wait in line, the line looked like it was a good 45 minute wait.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 07 2008 Amazing time! I think the skydeck is something you have to do while in Chicago. I go to Chicago every summer but last summer I finally did it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Im not a fan of heights but it wasnt too bad. The gift shops located in the sears tower are great and not overpriced! I actually walked out of there with a great souvenir !
