Eight years old, and attracting everyone from hippies to besuited office workers, this cheerful and relaxed cafe has become a bit of a Bristol institution. Inside, the walls are decorated with modern art work, but it's the outside tables on the pavement that everyone fights over—especially in the rare event of sunshine! It's particularly busy on weekends, so arrive early if you prefer to enjoy your food sitting down. The reason for its popularity? Well, for a start it's a great place for a leisurely breakfast (traditional or vegetarian) and a perfect venue for lounging about and reading the morning papers. There's also a range of Mediterranean-inspired main meals, such as Moroccan roasted vegetable salad, but you'll be equally welcome if it's just a quick coffee you're after.disabled access.

Back at the healm once again Shaun and Jo. Shaun has taken over the Bristolian once again after a break of a few years. He has introduced an imaginative menu along with the traditional English breakfast. The coffee is the best in Bristol with inspiring Latte, Mocca, Esspresso and the like. Well worth a visit.
