A Remodeled Gem
This is a fun hotel for those that enjoy the feel of old style construction, but the upgrading of modern comforts. The hotel and our room were clean and tight; bed was wonderful. Bathrooms are upgraded but the original tiling was in great shape. The Ipod music, High Def TV are nice niches. Hotel restaurant offered excellent Breakfast. Excellent front door service and fun (small) Driftwood lounge. Location is off the central downtown area but not too far, and in excellent proximity to the Pearl District venues. We have stayed at several Downtown Portland hotels, but this one is the one that we felt most comfortable in so far.

Fantastic Oasis
I enjoyed the Deluxe's cinema motif. The Driftwood Bar in the lobby is fantastic. I highly recommend the Bogie. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. It will be my place to stay in Portland for years to come.

OUCH!
On a recent visit to Portland my wife and I had the opportunity to stay in three downtown hotels. We began our visit at the Marriott. Flawless. Then we spent two nights at the Sheraton. It wasn't the Marriott, but the cost was about thirty percent less. Our final two nights were at the Hotel deLuxe. This is a beautiful classic hotel wonderfully restored with impeccable service and quality.

A good value!
Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. Very good price value with little kitchenette and living room area. Very central location, but on a somewhat dark back street. My in-laws stayed there and loved it.

StylishMallory
This hotel is within walking distance to all of Portland's attractively different neighborhoods. The hotel has a stylish, turn-of-the-century look. Parking is very convenient in a garage just across the street. The Driftwood Lounge is a great place to have a drink before venturing into the city.

Highly recommended
I love staying at the Mallory. Elegantly old-fashioned but very comfortable and friendly. The staff is professional and attentive. This is nothing like the generic chain hotels along the freeway. Pleasant amenities make it a good value.

Mallory Hotel
Eventhough the room cost a little more than budgeted for, the four of us had a good stay. Don't order alcoholic beverages through room service--a bit spendy. Dogs are welcome here and it shows. At the reception desk, you can view polaroids of current four leggers who are residing here. Besides those pictures, you don't dedect any dog's presence. The building is beautiful and the lobby enchanting with it's gold leafed decor. Professional staff not only at the desk but also in the dining room. Would stay there again.
