Bristol's version of the magical mystery tour - complete with psychedelic bus! Getting a ride on here is a great way of covering many of Bristol's most historic and interesting sites in a hurry and is also a good way for a visitor to get his or her bearings. The buses leave on the hour (every half hour in summer) from outside The Bristol Hippodrome in the city centre and follow a circular route. You can either buy an all-day ticket for £7 (concs £6) or single tickets between consecutive stops. With the former, you can hop on and off at the many stops along the way and take your time exploring the attractions - it stops at Bristol Zoo Gardens and the Clifton Suspension Bridge amongst others. The top deck is open and a Blue Badge Guide provides a running commentary on all the points of interest, bringing them to life as you glide past in comfort.
