Outsiders Film Festival

The mission of this festival is to promote queer cinema and film art in Liverpool and beyond. They celebrate the lesbian, gay, bi, queer, trans, inter, goth, punk, and bi-curious communities. Outsiders was founded in 2004 and offers monthly screenings year-round. The festival culminates in October/November every year. Many of the screenings are at the Philharmonic Hall. The stylish Philharmonic Hall is an exceptional example of art deco design. The city's main classical and contemporary music venue is situated between the two cathedrals and close to the Philharmonic Dining Rooms. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra season commences each September, when a diverse range of outstanding concerts from the orchestra and visiting performers will delight music lovers. A selection of films, including all the old favorites can be seen on the authentic 1930's style cinema screen. There is a highly acclaimed restaurant in the basement - The Lower Place, which serves a delicious range of meals and is a perfect way to complete a great evening.
