Nice comfortable little hotel, a pleasant, economical alternative to the big chains. I chose a room with a private bath rather than a shared bathroom down the hall. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful in giving directions and travel tips. A simple continental breakfast was served daily in a pleasant and comfortable breakfast room. (They might try serving some danishes though.) Great location: within walking distance to the downtown business area, Gastown, and many restaurants on Robson Street. Close to many bus lines that are part of Vancouver's superior transit system. I would definitely stay at the Kingston again and would recommend it to friends.

The hotel is old and the rooms are not very confortable. The breakfast is really bad, and the service too. For exemple, when I left I forgot my Ray-Ban sunglasses at the hotel's reception desk. I phoned from the airport and they told me that they had it and they would send them me by mail.

I really liked the Kingston hotel. It's has a great location, really downtown and is not that expensive. We first stayed in a lodge on east pender streat. now that was REALLY cheap but also REALLY crappy, and then i am not even mentioning the neighbourhood it was in :S!!
