add to Travel Bag (NEW)

The range and variety of hotels in Santiago has grown considerably in the last few years, but the main hotel sector continues to be the city center. There are many hotels worth checking out in the area of Avenida del Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, or the Alameda.

City Center

Within the city center there is the centrally located Hotel Foresta, where everything that you need is nearby and the rooms have a view of the woods on Santa Lucía hill. The Hotel Diego de Almagro - Santiago Centro is a wonder of architectural elegance and refinement, for both business travelers and tourists alike. The Hotel Conde Ansúrez is a smaller hotel, but provides wonderful service and has an amazing buffet. The Hostal Residencial Alemana is a no frills type of hotel that is only steps away from the Equestrian Club and the main railway station. For those more spartan travelers, there is Hostelling Internacional Santiago, where international members can stay and obtain various benefits. It is close to the Brazil neigborhood which abounds with restaurants. Then making your way down from the Plaza Italia, a hotspot for political and sports events, you will soon come to one of the most luxurious hotels in Santiago, the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This hotel was recently remodeled and now has the most modern facilities to offer its guests.

Vitacura

If you wish to stay among the high society of Santiago, the Vitacura district is the place to be. It is one of the most expensive and fashion conscious areas of the city and has a few places to stay. One of the luxury hotels is Hotel Director and provides all the amenities that one would expect from a five-star hotel. Another spectacular hotel that treats its guest like kings and queens is the Hotel Park Inn, some of have described it as the best hotel in the capital.

In the upper northwest of the city you will find yourself in the Las Condes area, which is centered around Apoquindo Avenue, most of the large, high-end hotels are located in this area such as the Grand Hyatt Santiago, the Hotel Radisson Royal Santiago and the Santiago Marriott Hotel. They all offer first class amenities in this wonderful district also called "Sanhattan" because of the canyons of buildings, similar to New York City. For the traveler, who wishes to spend some time in Santiago, stay at the Ateva Apart Hotel, a hotel/apartment with all the amenities. The Hotel Regal Pacific is another expensive hotel perfect for business travelers as it provides tremendous facilities. All of these hotels are located near the Providencia district which has an innumerable amount of clubs, restaurants and stores to go shopping.

Providencia

One of the best parts of the city for nightlife and diversion is the Providencia area. Here you will find few moderately priced hotels among the other very expensive ones. Two hotels for the budget conscious are the Hotel Presidente, situated in a quite residential area, it has comfy rooms and within distance to all types of restaurants and the Hotel Diego de Velázquez, an apartment/hotel that offers all the traditional services of a hotel, but only at when you need or want them. In the high-end range are the Hotel Eurotel, the Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center, the Hotel and Apart Club Presidente Santiago and the Hotel Santiago Park Plaza, all of these hotels are located near restaurants, clubs and shopping areas. The Hotel Bonaparte prides itself on its service and is located in a quiet residential area.
