Shuttle:
The Trinity Railway Express ( TRE ) ( +1 877 657 0146/ http://www.trinityrailwayexpress.org ) expeditiously avoids downtown traffic congestion making it a popular choice with arriving passengers. Free shuttle buses cart passengers from the airport to the railway's CentrePort Terminal. One-way fares to stations to the east of the airport cost USD2.25, while stations to the west a mere USD1.25. Travel to downtown takes 30 minutes. TRE operates M-F 5:30a-12:15a and Sa 6:15a-11:39p.
Bus:
Bus service ( +1 214 979 1111/ http://www.dart.org ) ferries in and out of the airport's North and South Shuttle parking lots. The 202 Express services the north lot and ultimately deposits passengers at downtown Dallas's West Transfer Center for USD2.25. Bus 409 services the south lot and heads into Dallas stopping at the Cityplace Center where you can transfer to the DART system and head into downtown.
Van:
Passengers can choose from two shuttle van services. Adults are charged USD15, and kids under 12 USD7. Shuttles exit the airport about every 30 minutes. Downtown Dallas fares range from USD15-USD20, while destinations to Fort Worth fall between USD16-USD24.
Taxi:

Car
Dallas is surrounded by a massive network of interstate highways lending it easy accessibility. Interstate 30 funnels into downtown from the northeast, while Interstate 20 approaches from both the east and west. Interstate 45 jabs into Dallas from Houston in a southeast direction, and Interstate 35 slices past the city from the north and south.

Public Transit

Bus service spans the entire Dallas/Fort Worth area along with the surrounding suburbs. The buses are surprisingly clean and well monitored. Most one-way fares cost USD1.25. Bus service hours run M-Sa 5a-10p and Su 8a-6p.
Dallas's light rail ( LRT ) operates via three lines: red, blue, and green. The red travels in a northeast/southwest direction, while the blue follows a southwest/south course. Both stop at all of downtown's major attractions including the Sixth Floor Museum, the Dallas World Aquarium, and the Dallas Convention Center. The green line ( TRE ) ( +1 877 657 0146/ http://www.trinityrailwayexpress.org ) connects downtown with the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. One-way fares range between USD1.25-2.25.
Taxi

Bike
There are 14 separate bike trails that fan throughout the Dallas/Forth Worth area, but are better suited for leisurely rides along lakes than for commuting to specific destinations, especially in downtown. If you ride in downtown look for white-and-blue designated bike route signs.
