By Air:

From the Airport:
Airport Shuttle Bus:
To find the Airport Shuttle Bus, exit the Arrival Hall, go right and proceed straight for 3-5 minutes. The fare is 6RMB per person.
Taxi:
There is a taxi queue outside the Arrival Hall. The taxi fare in Xiamen is 8RMB for the first 3km and 2RMB per km thereafter. Fares are subject to a 50% surcharge when the journey exceeds 8km.

Bus:
After exiting the Arrival Hall, turn left and proceed straight for 10-15 minutes to the Bus Station. There are 5 bus routes going directly to downtown Xiamen. Detailed bus route information is as follows:

Route 41: Airport to Bonded Area
Route 81: Airport to Lian hua Er Cun
Route 91: Airport to Exhibition Center
By Train:
Xiamen is accessible by Chinese Railways ( http://www.chinamor.cn.net ). Xiamen Railway Station is the main train terminal.
By Bus:

By Car:
Driving in Xiamen is inadvisable for those unfamiliar with the city's elaborate matrix of roadways. For foreigners wishing to travel by car, it is best to hire a driver.
Getting Around:
There are numerous means of getting around Xiamen. Public buses are difficult to use without a comprehensive understanding of the local language, but the city's metro system operated is user-friendly. Taxis are also easy to use provided you have your destination written down.
