Getting There:
By Air:
Penang is serviced by the Penang International Airport ( +60 4643 4411 ), located 16km from the city. The following airlines offer service to Penang:

It is necessary to take a ferry from Butterworth to Penang Island. Butterworth station is a major point along the railway from Singapore to Bangkok. Rail services are available by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad ( http://www.ktmb.com.my ).

By Bus:
