Sacramento serves 500 cities nationally including direct routes from Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Reno, Denver and Chicago. From the depot, Sacramento's Regional Transit ( +1 916 321 2877/ http://www.sacrt.com ) runs light rail trains that can ferry you to points all around the city - and beyond.

By Bus

Greyhound ( +1 800 231 2222/ http://www.greyhound.com ) accesses Sacramento daily from two stops. The downtown bus station ( +1 916 444 6858 ), located at 715 L Street, is open 24 hours daily. The other station ( +1 916 922 2795 ), located in Sacramento Ne at 1924 El Camino Avenue, is open M-F 4:30a-9p and Sa-Su 7:30a-9p.

By Car

Approach Sacramento by Interstate 80 from the east and west, Interstate 5 from the northwest and Interstate 99 from the north and south.

Public Transit

The Sacramento Regional Transit District ( +1 916 321 2877/ http://www.sacrt.com ) provides daily bus and light rail service. Buses run 5a-11:30p every 15 to 60 minutes. Light rail trains operate 4:30a-1a every 15 minutes during the day and 30 minutes during the evening.
