The recent discovery of the lost city of Wiang Kum Kam
The Underground Empire is of great cultural and historical significance. Following a massive flood the city of Wiang Kum Kam vanished without a trace. For over 200 years Wiang Kum Kam became a lost civilisation buried under layers of earth.
By bicycle we explore the main ancient ruined temples of Wiang Kum Kam: Wat Chedi Liam, Wat Phraya Meng Rai, Wat Kan Thom, and Koo Paa Dom. Afterward visit Wat Chiang Mun, the first temple built in Chiang Mai and contains several very old artifacts. Continue to the Three Kings Monument, and The Chiang Mai Art and Culture Hall offering a good collection of chronicled history of Chiang Mai.
