Following the river Mapocho up the valley you'll pass through small mountain villages before starting to climb the mountain. Taking on a series of hairpin bends, the views are incredible and there is a good chance of seeing condors at any time of the year.
Valle Nevado Ski Resort stands at a height of 3,025 meters/ 9,982 feet above sea level. The quality and variety of the pistes as well as the usually clement weather make this one of the best ski areas in the southern hemisphere. Skiing is available from June to August (additional cost) and the rest of the year it is possible to enjoy the mountain air and wonderful views.
